Sean Rea was born in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, N. Ireland and moved to London at 18 to study acting professionally. He graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Acting. 2008 marked Sean’s television debut in And Kill Them as part of Channel 4's Coming Up series. Film work quickly followed with Sean playing alongside John Shrapnel in Bruce Dickenson's Aleister Crowley horror, Chemical Wedding. He guest-starred in BBC's Survivors, marking his first appearance on mainstream, primetime television. More recently Sean has received acclaim for his portrayal of Taximan in Stacey Gregg's Lagan on the London stage (nominated for an Off West End award for best ensemble) and for The Hiding, winning Best Student Short at Fingal Film Festival amongst a host of other film festival appearances in 2015/16.
