Biography

Myles is a character actor of enormous experience. He has a marvellously expressive face with a real humorous twinkle! He has played in all the leading Dublin theatres, the Gate, Olympia and Gaiety. He has toured Northern and Southern Ireland and England.

His great talent for classic comedy was seen in the Gate’s production of “Ideal Husband” playing the butler Mason and Mr Witherspoon in “Arsenic and Old Lace”  in the Gaiety. As a complete contrast he played the part of the sinister husband in “Veronica’s Room,” directed by Barry Cassin for the Project’s Arts Centre and an Irish Tour. His most recent appearance was playing Senator Doogan for the Northern Ireland Arts Tour of Ireland and England in “Philadelphia Here I Come” directed by Adrian Dunbar.

Myles is particularly interested now in working in TV and Film and there has been great demand for his work in both these fields in recent years. He plays the Garda Superintendent in the new series of“Kilinaskully.” He played the great comedy role of Aylward in “ Rough Diamond”, High Court Judge in RTE’s “Fair City” and the Psychiatrist in “Custer’s Last Stand Up” for BBC/RTE Productions.  He played Ignatius in Beltown Films Production of “Trouble in Paradise,” Tom in “Turning Green”  - Curbside Productions, Fr. Michael in Samson’s production of “All God’s Children” and Egbert Townley in  Ceann Gael Productions’ of the comedy "On the Nose.”
