Karen Killeen studied The Programme at Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting. She also trained in theatre at DIT's Conservatory of Music and Drama. Recent work includes Taken Down for RTÉ Television which will air in November 2018 and the psychological horror Hen, due to be released in early 2019. She also played the title role in the short film EMILY which premiered at last year’s Galway Film Fleadh. She played Joanna in The Sweetest Thing which enjoyed screenings at international film festivals such as the Chicago Irish Film Festival. Karen is a founding member of the theatre company Rosebuds which is based in Dublin. As well as acting, Karen is from a very musical family. She is a singer (soprano), plays the piano and is currently studying for her Grade 8 exam at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She has a good ear for harmonies and accents and is an avid intermediate horse rider.
